Independent and objective ex-post evaluations of the implementation of the RDP (2014-2020) have been carried out, which provide accurate information on the overall impact and the degree of achievement of the objectives and priorities for the development of level 2 regions, on the effectiveness and efficiency of the resources used by stakeholders (ministries and departments, regional development councils, regional and local authorities, economic and social partners, non-governmental organizations, civil associations, etc.) by assessing the implementation of the strategic planning documents for regional development for level 2 regions, in the context of EU regional policy, national policy and regional development legislation. Conclusions and recommendations for the new strategic framework for regional development in the period 2021-2027 are presented.
